Wearing a tie is a good way to introduce a personality to an otherwise static look. The standard tie length is a little less than 60 inches and the width at the widest point should be around 5 inches.
The rule of thumb is that the tip of your tie should reach your belt buckle, so the length actually depends on how you wear your slacks or trousers and at no time should they hang lower than your buckle.
To complement the jacket, ties should never clash with its color. If the color of the jacket is loud, the tie should work to tone it down and vice-versa. So, plain ties will work well with striped jackets and colorful ties with solid-colored jackets.
There is a wide variety of styles and colors of neck ties to suit any occasion and you should keep a number of styles and colors in your wardrobe. Never wear printed ties at formal settings; these occasions are only reserved for single-colored ties.
Ties with cartoon prints should never be worn in the office during work hours, but they are ideal for office banquets or other social gatherings. Tie colors are usually your personal choice, but for aesthetic purposes, the color of your tie should be darker than your shirt and lighter than your jacket. The best types to keep are the ones with a solid color because they never go out of style and can be worn with most types of jackets and in any occasion.

Way before the emergence of the concept of metrosexuality, men have always worn a fragrance one time or another. Men’s fragrances can be categorized according to the concentration of the scent. From the lowest to the highest perfume oil concentration they are: the aftershave; the eau de toilette or the cologne; the eau de parfum or the actual perfume and the parfum which has the highest oil concentration but is quite rarely made today.
You can protest to the high heavens that you do not really care much for scents and fragrances, but the billion dollar men’s fragrance industry tells a different story. So if you plan on wearing a scent you might as well do it right.
Every man should maintain three different types of fragrance. One that they wear all the time or what is known as their signature scent, and two to break the monotony. If you’re worried about the cost then just think that these three bottles will last you about a year which would amount to just about the same cost as using the same kind for the same amount of time, but without the variety.
You want to store your perfume in a cool and dark spot where the sun cannot make it evaporate fast. As for wearing them, always go for the pulse points only because you want the women to only get a whiff of your scent to keep them coming back, as opposed to driving them away because you reek of the scent.

The blue jeans would have to be the staple of American men’s clothing. Developed in the 19th century by Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis, this article of clothing was made to provide comfort and durability for the men working on the California mines in the 1800s. Since then, young and old men have kept two or more pairs on their wardrobe.
Purchasing a pair of jeans is something very personal because your primary goal should be comfort. There’s no point in wearing what advertisers will call the hippest pair of jeans if they make you feel uncomfortable.
Never go for something too tight or something that rides too low or something that has too much embellishment. To be on the safe side but still stay fashionable, your best bet would be the straight or the boot cut. If it is your first purchase or if you’re buying a different style, make it a point to actually try it on, walk with it, sit with it and get the general feel of the pair you want.
Never try it on your neck because your waist will never have the same size as the girth of your shoulders and neck. You can venture on to the stone washed or the faded glory, but this style comes back about as often as the Halley’s comet so better stick to the basic blue denim which can be worn at any period and practically at any place.

Getting a haircut is serious business so never go to the salon without the slightest idea of how you want your hair done. On the other hand, no one should exist for decades wearing just one hairstyle, well, no one does it anyway.
With the wide variety of hair styling products on the market now, men can be more versatile with their hairstyle. One of men’s most enduring relationships is with their barber, someone they can rest easy with and entrust their crowning glory to. You’ll be surprised at how up to date men’s stylists can be so you can rely on them to tell you what style will suit you best.
Some men have not been blessed with a thick frock of locks and often struggle with receding hairline and thinning hair. If it becomes a real problem, wouldn’t it be better to just get rid of it? Going bald or semi-bald has made a comeback in a big way that even women go for the style.
For the rest who has been lucky enough to not be dealing with this problem, you should try all types of hairstyles there is, of course, depending on the size of your head or shape of your face. Hair transformations are big hit with family and friends. After wearing a sleek brushed up look, try other styles as well.
There’s the short and disheveled look that will lend a tougher look for men with soft features and pale complexion. There’s also the rock-star-look of long and straight, which would be well worth the difficulty of maintaining it.
Still, there’s the longish and layered cut that can be styled a million different ways with a mousse or a gel. The best thing about trying on various types of hairstyles is that if the one you get is not that great, you only have to wait a few weeks to have it grow back.
